Event Highlights

The Bay Architecture Tour
Friday, Nov 14 · The Bay Cultural District
President Marty Hylton led an insider tour through 53 acres of city-owned land. We explored six landmark buildings representing 100 years of heritage, including Thomas Reed Martin’s Municipal Auditorium (1937), Victor Lundy’s Blue Pagoda (1956), and the iconic Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (1970).







Opening Party: Cocktails Under the Umbrella
Friday, Nov 14 · Umbrella House, Lido Shores
We kicked off the weekend at Paul Rudolph’s 1953 masterwork. Guests celebrated Sarasota’s legacy as a global design hub with live music and libations at the Umbrella House (No. 22B on the Sarasota 100), honoring the visionary development of Philip Hanson Hiss.








Moderns That Matter: Symposium
Saturday, Nov 15 · Ringling College of Art + Design
This year’s symposium featured Javier Ors Ausín of the World Monuments Fund, who discussed the global commitment to preserving modern architecture. The session spotlighted the unsung individuals and events that shaped Sarasota’s nearly century-long modern movement.








Sarasota 100: Guided & Self-Guided Tours

A curated selection of residential architecture featured in the Sarasota 100 invited guests into homes that embody the essence of the Sarasota School of Architecture. These well-preserved and reimagined spaces continue to inspire and redefine modern living.

Sarasota 100: Tour by Water

With continental breakfast and mimosas, guests explored landmarks and everyday spaces from the water. As No. 100 on the list, 'The Waterfront' tour celebrated the influence of the bay in shaping the community's vibrant identity and cultural heritage.









Open House & MOD Mart Pop-up
Sunday, Nov 16 · McCulloch Pavilion
We wrapped up at the McCulloch Pavilion with our first-ever vintage market. Guests shopped mid-century treasures from vendors like Canned Ham Vintage and The Hudson Mercantile while wandering the galleries and commemorating the weekend at the MOD Shop.
