Funded in part by a grant from the Florida Division of Historical Resources, Architecture Sarasota is collaborating with the Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation to document and evaluate approximately 60 manufactured housing neighborhoods in Sarasota.

The project considers these communities not only as essential affordable housing options, but also as potential cultural resources that contribute to Sarasota’s broader history of dwelling, landscape, and everyday modern life.

Through inventory, evaluation, and publication, the initiative elevates awareness of manufactured housing as a viable and often overlooked part of the region’s built environment.
